Wow, I got some more uploaded this afternoon & even proofed some more yesterday & that finished up Feb 2009. It has been a bit busy/crazy going back to work but I’m starting to settle in & am in the process still of learning the ropes. It can be a bit overwhelming sometimes, all the interrupt inputs to my brain, but I’m getting better at managing it & understand more. In fact, I think I learn something new every day which is totally cool.
2 weekends ago I was at the annual Mt. Olive Women’s retreat down in Waymansboro, IN at Camp Lakeview and had a ton of fun with my girls there singing karaoke & going through an awesome bible study. Although it wasn’t quite the same without Pastor Jeff, communion, the prayer walk & the campfire, but the weather wasn’t very cooperative.
The weekend before that 006 got his tonsils & adenoids out & he did wonderfully. Bounced back in about 3 days, but still had to take the whole week off school. He didn’t seem to mind too much. Called it his second spring break!
Yard is growing like a weed, so I’ve been very busy mowing & trimming. Speaking of weeds, there are a ton in the new flowerbed & have started to tackle that. Mom & dad’s place is not too bad, which is really cool.
Mom continues to be the same, some good days, some bad. She was slurring very badly yesterday when I was there for Mother’s Day and of course that is always concerning. Dad has gone back to work mowing at the cemetery so she gets some time alone which is good for her independent streak.
My personal life, love life, whatever you want to call it, is non-existent. I think at work they only hire married men. But I figure I don’t need it right now anyway.
Went to see Iron Man 2 Friday night. Totally awesome! Very surprised at all the little kids there. It’s an adult movie, I’m sorry, but leave your kid at home. Also watched Tears of the Sun this weekend. An older Bruce Willis movie. Very good. Was not expecting the social conscience overtones.
Last weekend we watched the Iron Giant. I really liked the “you can choose to be who you want to be” message. While we all need to honor the way God made us, we also need to strive to be open to being able to change & to choose what we want.

Coneflowers at my Mom’s the on-line version is much better. I don’t think I’m going to download them back off of flickr for here again. I tried it this time as an experiment to see if it was easier than re-sizing. It is, but I don’t like the quality. Lesson learned.
Not sure what happened to 005’s neck. I promise it is still there. And those shadows? From their ears. I’m sorry, my kids have Dumbo ears. It’s a hereditary thing. They don’t stand a chance. They’re larger IRL.
Blowing out candles. Please don’t send my picture off to Cake Wrecks. I already know it’s pretty bad. But it was in a pinch & he didn’t seem to mind.
